Welcome to Douglas Skills Trust a community-focused charity dedicated to empowering people to build brighter futures.

We support NEETs (young people Not in Education, Employment, or Training), young women in construction, and disadvantaged adults through practical trade training, life skills workshops, mentoring, and mental health support.

Our programmes help individuals gain confidence, develop real-world skills, and take meaningful steps into employment or self-employment particularly within the construction and trade industries.

Our New Programme for Young Women in Construction:
We’re proud to launch our Transformative Foundation Programme a pioneering pathway designed for young women aged 16–25, especially those who are NEET, to explore careers in construction, surveying, architecture, and construction management.
The programme combines hands-on training, academic development, life skills, and wellbeing support, helping participants move confidently into college, apprenticeships, or professional roles in the built environment.
